1987 Pontiac
TransAm GTA, 305ci, 5 Speed Transmission, 3:45 9 Aussie Posi Bolt Rear-End,
Fully Loaded, 69472 miles. This car is a one of a kind only 708 built with
these options listed above. I am the second owner of this beauty.
I purchased this car in July of 1995 from a friend who owned the car for only
8 months. He purchased the car from the original owner who drove the car for
his weekend pleasure. The car was purchased from Kilnger Pontiac in Mamaroneck
which closed down in 1991. The car is fully documented and I have keep the
car in pristine condition.
I brought the car to the track several times and twice the SLP day which took place in April 2000 & 2001. In April 2000 the car went to the third round in the time trials and the GTA had the best reaction time that day which was a 501 (I will post the time slip when I get access to a scanner). The best time I ever ran with this car was a 14.6 at 95.3 mph.
The modifications that I done on the was a full SLP exhaust from the manifolds back, SLP ram air induction, SLP TPI spacer,SLP runners, I machined outthe TPI tunnel, high performance chip, rebuilt the 9 bolt rear end with all new factory parts and purchased the SLP 3:73 gears.

In May of 2001 I sold the car to another Trans Am lover who was looking for a GTA. So since then I have been in very close contact and here from him quite a lot and the progress of the car. He has even sent me some pictures of GTA and it sure looks great.

In April 2003 I was informed by the previous owner that the GTA was in a
terrible accident and the repairs exceeded the value of the car. So the car
was scraped and stripped for parts. I have a few pictures below of the car
and the damage that occured. I sure had some great times with this car and
she will be defintly missed.
REST IN PEACE April 14th 2003
