Meandering to Hosford

Think you can't have fun on a short day tour to a small town in North Florida? Hosford, Florida may be small in size but it has a large heart and a lot of history. We were welcomed in a big way and shown some living history in the way of schools and churches and they even held the Post Office open a few extra minutes so we could view a pictorial history of the area. We had a first class meal (with a tasty ice cream dessert) at a nice local restaurant. All in all, an enjoyable tour with some nice folks.

Our day starts with breakfast at Jim & Milts with quite a good turnout of club members, although a lot of them missed a good tour (said they had to work or something!).

We then proceeded on our "meander" out Hwy. 20 toward Lake Talquin by way of Midway. A pleasant drive out some country roads (including a narrow unpaved drive to the lake).

(We even had a visit from a denizen of the area - an alligator!)
