Great Southern Antique Car Rally
May 11-12, 2007

Another successful year for the Cairo bunch with the 19th Annual GSACR. The TRAACA team also came through with, once again, the largest club participation with more than 20 cars at this year’s event. As usual, the folks from the Syrup City put on quite a show and much of the kudos must go to our own members Wayne and Rosa Ann Hadden for their enthusiasm and drive to get this show on the road.

Friday evening began with one of my favorite pastimes, eating great barbeque with a host of old friends and new acquaintances.

Great dining.

Wayne explains the rules.

More than 200 cars pull out for the gaslight parade through

downtown Cairo.

On the road, is the recurring theme of this annual event (as well as the eating part!). For as Wayne likes to say at the beginning of each gathering, we eat, then ride, then eat, then ride, etc..

Some of the Saturday tourists on the poker rally.

Midway rest stop for Moon Pies & RC Colas.
