2006 Fund Raising Auction & Chili Fest

Club members and friends joined together at the lakeside villa of Gene and Ginny Densmore to enjoy some very fine fall weather, the annual fund raising auction and as usual , some fine chili with all the fixings. This year's event was a resounding success with over $700 being raised for the club treasury with the auctioning off of some very fine goods donated by club members.

Items ranged from small antique toys and keepsakes to a full set of automobile tires! Nothing was left on the table after all was said and done, though at the end, some real bargains (?) could be had for only a couple dollars!

Auctioneer Bobby Hollingsworth was able to move the merchandise quickly. After a while though, I think he realized that he was missing some of the bargains and turned the microphone over to Bob Love for the finishing touches. Thanks also go to John Schanbacher and Tommy Sykes for their help.

The other highlight of the day was of course the food! Homemade chili and fixings really hit the spot as the cooks outdid themselves this year.
