This year we
returned to Krome Avenue in downtown Homestead for our 22nd Annual
Frontier Days Antique Car Show. Despite a drizzle in the
morning and a mostly cloudy day we had
a good turn out of 72 cars angled parked on both sides of the street and
several parked head to toe down the middle. We had many new faces
and cars in our show. There were flea market vendors, oldies music
played by our DJ Tom Sleeper, food vendors,
and loads of people. What a day! I am sorry for those of you
who couldn't make it because you missed a fabulous show.
Thanks to our Co-Chairmen Tony Cueva
and Corey Gold. We also need to thank a lengthy list of volunteers:
Alex Fardales, Juan Gonzalez,
Jean and Maurice Hawa, Tomas Hernandez, Norman Kassoff, Andy Leavy,
Mel Mann, Mike Penn, Ernesto Romero,
Ira Shapiro and his son David, Bob Squier, and Philip Williams.
We also need to thank our sponsors:
City of Homestead, Homestead Main Street Association, Blake
Chevrolet and Cadillac, Williamson Hummer, Levy Advertising and the
1st National Bank of South Florida.
Again I have to thank Ernesto Romero
and Philip Williams for the additional pictures of the show. So enjoy the
pages that follow and come out the next time to experience one for
yourself.
