From the July 2004 issue:
LARRY SHAW AND HIS MAXWELL
Restoration on the Maxwell, (which is titled as a 1916, but may actually be a 1917) was started about 1980, but got derailed. The project was restarted in 1987 when the car passed it’s 70th birthday. It’s been a start and stop project ever since, until the 100th anniversary celebration for Maxwell came calling in 2004. That was the necessary catalyst. Larry worked with a passion and was able to complete the car for showing during the June 21-24, 2004 Maxwell celebration in Indiana. 83 other Maxwell vehicles showed up to see Larry’s finished project (and also to help with the general celebration.) There is still a little workto be done; but... (we’ll keep our fingers crossed.)
