Attention all Sports Car and Sports-Touring Car enthusiasts! The Susquehanna Valley Vintage Sports Car Club Region of the AACA announces its 2008 marquee events to the AACA National membership and their friends. Those events are the 7 annual Hershey Vintage Hillclimb festival and the 18th annual Meeting of the Marques motorshow. The SVVSCC, now entering its 6th year of Region status, is the only AACA Region dedicated to the owners and interests of sports and sports-touring automobiles, both street-driven and racing-prepared.

The SVVSCC's Mission is to foster the acquisition, preservation, restoration and active use of vintage sports and sports-touring cars of all origins. 'Active use' is no more evident than at the Hershey Vintage Hillclimb, May 3 & 4, 2008. This interactive exhibition and festival recreates and celebrates the 1960's Hershey Hillclimbs, its place in Pennsylvania motorsports history and the early vehicles from the turn of the 20th Century that used endurance trials, hillclimbs and track events as the proving grounds for evolving automotive technologies. Vehicle participation is open and encouraged from Pre-War through the Post-War eras with a strong emphasis on period presentation. Spec-compliant vintage racecars and their drivers will also be assaulting The Hill via exhibition runs on both days.

Our 2008 Featured Marque honors the 55th Anniversary of the Corvette. Special Car Corrals will be set aside for sports cars, and other special interest vehicle groups upon request, adjacent to the exhibitor/vendor area. One dynamic of Sunday's Hotel Hershey Motor Show is that all Show participants may take part in touring laps on the Hillclimb course, always well received by the thousands of spectators lining the ascent.

The Meeting of the Marques is the Region's annual autumn event on the grounds of the beautiful Allenberry Resort & Playhouse in Boiling Springs, PA and held on Sunday, September 21st. Expanding from a respected British heritage car and motorcycle show it now welcomes all sports cars and sports-touring marques. North American, European and Asian antique classes have joined the British classes in this popular vote motorshow.

Information, requirements and registration on all of the SVVSCC Region events may be found at www.svvscc.org.
