Mark Brylinski's 1931 Chevrolet Standard Sedan

Well, it all started back in 1978 when I helped a former AACA member (Ray Shear) restore a 1923 Buick sedan.  Ever since then (I was 14), I was hooked on old sedans.  So, 18 years later, in 1996, I purchased this 1931 Chevrolet.  In my search, I almost bought the "other" brand but then I saw this car, advertised in the Swap Sheet.  I drove straight from Fredonia (after looking at the Ford "A") to Wilson (where the Chevy was).

There was no upholstery, just two mouse eaten seats, and there was also a small knock in the engine.  But I knew this was the car that I wanted.  Two days later I was bringing it home, along with all of the "spare/extra" parts to fill my garage.

I have since restored the interior back to original, and with the help of a good friend, we took that engine out and had it completely rebuilt, right down to the babbit bearings.  I now enjoy driving this car to shows, cruise nights and parades, and many AACA events!!
