2018 Schedule of Events

The Lake Erie Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America meets monthly, usually on the second Sunday of the month.  
All members are welcome and encouraged to participate in these activities. 
 Details are available through the monthly Sidelight newsletter and this website.  
Individuals interested in joining in the activities or hosting activities should contact any board member or the host of the event.

July 8 LER Summer Picnic at "Mark's World"
Host:
Mark Schleicher (at Mark's 33-acre personal fantasy land)
Location: 159 Kern Road., Cowlesville, NY
Time: 12:00 Noon
Meal: Hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage, pop, condiments, plastic ware, plates, napkins, etc. will be provided. BYOB. A dish to pass appreciated but not required.
Cost: Members: $5 each; guests $7 each, payable upon arrival. No registration or deadlines.
Activities: Swimming in pond, fishing (lots of big bass and perch), canoe and row boat available, hiking, ski-ball machine. Tour the restored 1944 New Haven Railroad caboose. View the large railroadiana collection.

ALSO; The Annual Cowlesville Village-Wise Flea Market is the same day.
It is held the entire morning of Sunday, July 8 throughout the village of Cowlesville, Those inclined to such activities will find this an excellent opportunity to search for treasures and work up an appetite for the picnic.

Tours to Cowlesville: There will be two motorcades departing from Wegman's at Transit & Losson Roads:
9:30 am - for those wishing to go to the flea market and 11:00 am for those going directly to Mark's world.
You can also venture out on your own: Take Clinton Street (Rt. 354) east thru Elma and Marilla (watch out for the speed traps), cross into Wyoming County and go down a hill into beautiful downtown Cowlesville. Turn right at the only cross-road in the village (Lapp Road to the left & Urf Road to the right). Turn right on Urf Road. Go 1 1/2 miles to the end. Turn right and go to the first driveway on the right.

Summer Mystery Tour
Host: Al Forster & Ron Billo
Tour: Are you ready for something different & entertaining? Join us for the August Mystery Tour. Al Forster & Ron Billo have planned a fun and relaxing day tour. The mystery is what makes this more fun, do not ask too many questions in advance.
The tour will leave the Southgate Plaza at 10:30 am, there will be two pleasing stops, followed by a buffet meal at the end of the tour. (Gluten free and vegan choices will be available, so please note this request on your reservation.
The Tour route will encompass more than 50 miles and less than 70 miles of scenic Western New York roads. The fun of this tour will be enhanced with us driving our 1993 and older vehicles. Improve your comfort by putting a lawn chair in your car.
Due to the capacity of the sites we are visiting, the tour will be limited to 60 participants.
Cost: $23 for club members, $28 for guests.
Reservations: Must be made by Friday, August 3. Make checks payable to Lake Erie Region AACA and mail them to Al Forster, PO Box 776, East Amherst, NY 14051.

November 11 Memorabilia Exhibit Night

Cliff Schultz
Cliff will host a memorabilia and collectable exhibit night where everyone can display and discuss their collections and hobbies. Tables will be arranged around the outside of the room to set up to exhibit on.

Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
