2018 Schedule of Events

The Lake Erie Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America meets monthly, usually on the second Sunday of the month.  
All members are welcome and encouraged to participate in these activities. 
 Details are available through the monthly Sidelight newsletter and this website.  
Individuals interested in joining in the activities or hosting activities should contact any board member or the host of the event.

Summer Mystery Tour

Tour: Are you ready for something different & entertaining? Join us for the August Mystery Tour. Al Forster & Ron Billo have planned a fun and relaxing day tour. The mystery is what makes this more fun, do not ask too many questions in advance.
The tour will leave the Southgate Plaza at 10:30 am, there will be two pleasing stops, followed by a buffet meal at the end of the tour. (Gluten free and vegan choices will be available, so please note this request on your reservation.
The Tour route will encompass more than 50 miles and less than 70 miles of scenic Western New York roads. The fun of this tour will be enhanced with us driving our 1993 and older vehicles. Improve your comfort by putting a lawn chair in your car.
Due to the capacity of the sites we are visiting, the tour will be limited to 60 participants.
Cost: $23 for club members, $28 for guests.
Reservations: Must be made by Friday, August 3. Make checks payable to Lake Erie Region AACA and mail them to Al Forster, PO Box 776, East Amherst, NY 14051.

Here are some of the highlights:
Saturday:
Meet at Wegmans, 4960 Transit, Road, Depew at 8:00 am. Tour will depart promptly at 8:30 am. We will travel country roads through Elma, Marilla, Warsaw, Mt. Morris, Dansville to the Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, NY. There will be a lunch stop in Arkport. After lunch, a tour is planned though this amazing museum.
Hammondsport will be hosting "Wings & Wheels" on Saturday. Members & guests have the option to view the classic air craft fly over and car show. shuttle service will be provided from the Curtiss Museum at no charge.  Saturday evening dinner will be at 5:00 pm at Restaurant 209 in Bath, a very short drive from the htoel. We have a private dining area with entree choices of beef, chicken and salmon.
Lodging: The Microtel Inn & Suites, 370 West Morris Street, Bath, 14810, will be our overnight stay. call 607-776-5333 and contact Josh Tompkins. Room rate is $126 plus tax. The rooms are reserved under "Lake Erie Region Antique Car Club.  
Sunday:
We will meet at 9:00 am in Bath for breakfast, Our group will park in the community park directly across the street from the restaurant. Then we will fravelback to Hammondsport for a guided tour of the "Finger Lakes Boating Museum" and "Pleasant Valley Wine Company". We have designated parking and will be shuttled to the wine company. After the winery tour, a catered lunch will be served at the boat museum (cost of this is included in the registration fee). There are a number of other wineries and attractions in the area that members & guests can enjoy the remainder of the day.
Cost: $30 members / $40 non-members

November 11 Memorabilia Exhibit Night

Cliff Schultz
Cliff will host a memorabilia and collectable exhibit night where everyone can display and discuss their collections and hobbies. Tables will be arranged around the outside of the room to set up to exhibit on.

Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
