Up at 7:30AM, we enjoyed a huge breakfast of omelets, pancakes, bacon, sausage, yogurt, bagels and chocolate milk! Yummy! My Dad and I left to go to the “AACA Websites” seminar, as he does the Bull Run website. I had to leave early to go to the Juniors Technical Seminar (presented by Mr. Doug), where we learned about the operation of pistons, cylinders and engines.

After the Technical Seminar, we went over to the Pizza Party with Mom & Chris. At the party, we met Tatiyana & Vlad Lankenau and their parents. The pizza was great, but the chocolate chip cookies were even better! But the best thing of all was the gift we received – a really cool 71 piece tool set, to call my own! I told my Dad “hands off!” |

After the Pizza party, we headed over to the Touring Seminar to hear about the different things going on – then Dad & I went up to meet Mr. Doug in the hospitality Suite. There, everyone was talking about the Juniors program and ways to make it even better for kids my age. It was neat to hear what the adults thought about us and I hope to be part of it some more. From there, we went to listen to Ms. Fran Shore and Mr. Doug in their seminar “Youth in our Hobby”. I learned that it is important to have a strong youth group so that Regions can survive the years. One thing that I thought of is that I could take over the Bull Run website when my Dad gets older. Mr. Doug talked about the use of the internet, the Juniors website and the growth of juniors in AACA. Each year it gets larger, and Mr. Doug needs our help to make sure that we continue growing, learning and having fun. At that meeting, my Dad said that he would take over as editor of “Wheel”, the newsletter for us Juniors. |

After the seminar, we went to the Trade Show floor for the door prize drawing – where Mommy & Chris won a great AACA museum sweatshirt (that Dad promptly stole and wears…). We went back to our room to rest and get ready for the Awards Banquet. At the Banquet, we were lucky enough to sit at Mr. Doug & Ms. Joyce’s table! Dinner was very nice, and my Dad received an award for his work on Bull Run’s website. In the middle of the night, Mr. Doug went to give out an award, but left it at the table. Ms. Joyce asked if I would take it to him, so I did. How embarrassing! Mr. Doug thanked me then held the microphone to me and said, “ Say something”… I did not know what to say, and said “Thank You” to those that put on the fun dinner. After dinner, it was late and it was time for us to go to bed. We all headed back to our room to sleep. |
