The say to park in the North Parking lot and enter through the same door. There will be sign directing you to the ballroom when they will be meeting car owners.

Documentary Opportunity 12/06/06

NEED Late 1920's or Early 1930's CADILLAC for Al Capone Documentary (Chicago Metro. Area)

My name is Rose Alexander and I am a Production Assistant in the Chicago area, and am currently involved with coordinating a project with Atlantic Productions.

We are shooting a documentary in Chicago in early December about AL CAPONE for the HISTORY CHANNEL'S/'LOST WORLDS' and specifically are looking for a late model 1920's Cadillac Town Sedan or early 1930's Cadillac Series 452V16 Sedan to film stationary shots, with our historian doing a walk around vehicle, as well as additional footage of owner driving the vehicle down the street.
Anyone who would be interested in working with us on this project, please contact me via phone or email to discuss.
(Your name/organization would be given film credit/acknowledgment.)
Thanks for your help!

Movie Opportunities 10/26/05

We are in the process of preparing to shoot portions of the Warner Bros/Clint Eastwood feature film "Flags of our Fathers" in the Chicago area in the last part of October.

The show is a World War II movie about the lives and experiences of the 6 men who raised the flag in Iwo Jima.

The portion in Chicago has to do with the war bond drives and will be shot at Soldiers' Field, Wrigley Field and various locations in the downtown area.

We are interested in renting background cars, taxi cabs, police cars and limos in the early 40's.

If you have any members or ideas please contact me at any of the following numbers.
The e-mail would be best since we are now shooting in Iceland and it would be easier for me to call you back.

Thanks

An Email from Bob Grutza on 10/31/05 who took his 1936 Nash to be part of the Movie!!

 hi all

Here are some pic's from the movie thing Rich and I did yesterday.  This
movie is call Flags of our Fathers, Clint Eastwood is the Director.   He
came over to the Car and wanted to know what it was!  I told him a 36

How'd we look right after makeup!

They said I looked PERFECT!

More Movie Car Pictures thanks to Bill and Diann Kohley.

Movie Opportunities 3/14 thru 3/16:

I'm working with an independent film called "5-25-77."  It's about
the release of "Star Wars: A New Hope" and contemporary science
fiction films of the mid 1970's, (Close Encounters, 2001, THX, Silent
Running, etc.). The story follows the Writer/Director Patrick Read
Johnson's travels through actually being on set as a teen with his
filmmaking buddies.

We're shooting in Waukegan next week March 13-18.  On the 14th, 15th
and 16th we need as many pre-1977 vehicles as we can possibly find.
Our approximate shooting times will be:

Tues 3/14- 11am-Sunset
Wed 3/15 & Thur 3/16- 8am-1pm

On Thursday 3/16 we could really use a station wagon and a Honda
Civic.  On Saturday 3/18, we especially need a Blues Brothers type
cop car.  Please pass this info on as you see fit.  Anyone interested
can reply to don.vic@mac.com or call me at 310.570.3367.

Thanks for your help,
Don Victorine
