Father of the “Snake” Comes to the AACA Museum

Carroll Shelby Visits AACA MuseumHe’s a self-proclaimed “chicken farmer” who is known for his black cowboy hat. He has raced Ferraris in Europe, won at LeMans, and broke land speed records at Bonneville. After he retired from racing, he found a way to shoehorn a small-block Ford V8 into the engine-bay of sedate British sports car, creating a vehicle that would become a racing legend and every driver’s dream ride. The cars was the legendary Cobra. Its builder was Carroll Shelby, who will be at the Museum on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 as part of A Night At The Museum, held from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Night at the Museum with Carroll ShelbyA Night at the Museum replaced the Museum’s annual fund raising dinner. It’s a gala party/charity auction sponsored by RM Auctions. In addition to a chance to meet Carroll Shelby, there will be cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres and an opportunity to bid on a special group of automotive items and “experiences” (e.g. a tour of Jay Leno’s Big Dog Garage).

Tickets are $125.00 each and can purchased at the Museum office, ordered by contacting Myra Toomey at 717-566-7100 ext. 116 or by downloading and returning the PDF invitation on our website. All proceeds benefit the Museum. A Night At The Museum is going to be a night to remember. Make plan to join us as the Museum welcomes a living legend. Rapid Motoring!
