Tulsarama:
Is the '57 Plymouth Missing?
In case you've been hiding in a gunite-encrusted vault of your own
for the past few years, here's the story: In 1957, the Tulsarama
organizers buried a new 1957 Plymouth Belvedere, chosen for its
futuristic styling, in a concrete vault as a time capsule.
After seeing this picture circulating on the Internet, we were left
wondering... Why are they digging up the Plymouth nearly three weeks
early?
To find out why folks in Tulsa were unearthing the Plymouth vault late
last month, click HERE.

Tulsarama Update: Plymouth Vault Flooded — Rust Possible

Water
in Plymouth Vault Dampens Spirits
Officials in Tulsa were dismayed Wednesday to find the 1957 Plymouth
Belvedere that has been buried beneath the city courthouse lawn for the
past 50 years, sitting in nearly 2 feet of water.
Despite being sealed in what amounts to a giant "sandwich baggie," event
officials are uncertain what condition the car will be in when it is
unwrapped on Friday.
To find out about this late-breaking situation, click HERE.
P.S.
Don't forget that
www.OldCarsWeekly.com will be posting photos and articles directly
from the Tulsarama event! Be sure to check our site often in the coming
days to learn what's happening in Tulsa.
