Volunteer for a Ronald McDonald House® near you!

Volunteers are the backbone of the houses  and critical to their success in serving the children and families who need them. Many of our volunteers have been with them for more than 15 years because of the reward and satisfaction they get by making such a real difference in there community.

There are so many ways you can help. From cooking a meal for families staying in one of the Houses, to helping with office work to working at a special event - they rely on the time and talent of all the volunteers to realize there goals!

Ronald McDonald House® provides a "home away from home"

Ronald McDonald House-Oak Lawn

Ronald McDonald Houses provide a "home away from home" for families of children receiving medical treatment at nearby hospitals. Each House is unique in its design, but all provide comfortable, supportive lodging for these families during their time of need. It serves as a temporary residence near the medical facility where family members can sleep in their own room, eat, relax and find support from other families in similar situations. In return, families are asked to make a donation of ten dollars a day; however if that is not possible, we will work with each family on an individual basis to accommodate their needs.  No family is turned away for an inability to pay.

These truly are Ronald McDonald Houses "that love built."  They continue to flourish because of the nurturing compassion of our staff and volunteers and the generosity of our donors.
