Here are pictures of most of the Autos at the Show on Saturday. The Swap Meet was on the small side but very well organized. Did not get any pictures but you can see it in the background on the group of Camaro pictures. An Email from Illinois Region Member Herb Nelson tells of an eventful two days spent at Chevy/Vettefest: Last week at Chevy/Vettefest I entered my 1961 Corvair
Rampside Pickup. You will see Herb's 1961 Corvair
Rampside P/U and the other Members of The Chicagoland Corvair Enthusiasts Club

CHEVY VETTEFEST PROMOTORS GEAR UP FOR BIGGEST AND BEST SHOW YET Rosemont, Ill. (August 2008)— The Nickey Chicago Chevy Vettefest, presented by Bill StasekChevrolet, will take place November 22-23, 2008 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 N. River Rd., Rosemont, Ill. Championship Auto Shows, Inc., producers of the Nickey Chicago Chevy Vettefest, presented by Bill Stasek Chevrolet, are preparing for their biggest and best show yet. With the recent announcement that they would be producing a single Chevy Vettefest event per year in theChicagoland area instead of the previous two, (Fall and Spring) events, a commitment has been made to once again raise the bar. “Our Fall event has traditionally been the larger event, both physically and spectator-wise,” said Show Manager, Bob Ashton. “We are committed to giving our participants and spectators the very best experience possible and by concentrating on a single Fall event in the Chicago area, that is exactly what we will do.” The Chevy Vettefest is the world’s largest All Indoor, All Chevrolet show and swap meet. With nearly 400,000 square feet of exhibit space in the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (greater Chicago), Illinois, the show packs more than 400 swap meet and commercial vendor spaces and more than 400 of the countries best Chevy’s. The Triple Crown Gallery, a show highlight, features the finest Corvettes that are accepted only after achieving NCRS Top Flight and Bloomington Gold status, the most prestigious awards among restored and originalCorvette enthusiasts. Achieving Triple Crown status is considered the ultimate achievement among many in the Corvette world In addition to the Triple Crown Gallery for Corvettes, the show will also feature a High Performance 68-70 Nova Showcase, the sYc Supercars Showcase and what is believed to be the only gathering of 69 Camaro Z/28’s that may represent all of the 18 available colors along withseveral special order non standard cars. The variety of vendors catering to the Chevy, Corvette and Muscle car enthusiasts grows with each show and will surely expand once again. “The show has become a great place to launch new products and services for the true enthusiast,” Ashton stated. “Our Diamond Award, presented to the best first time shown vehicles, has also proven to bring in some fantastic cars, including some of the rarest and most desirable cars ever to wear a Bowtie.” For more information, call Championship Auto Shows, Inc. at (248) 373-1700 or visit their website at www.chevyvettefest.net.
