Dear Jim,
The holiday season is a time for giving both of
gifts and of thanks. We would like to thank you, our loyal visitors
and supporters of the AACA Museum, for helping grow the Museum
experience and spread the word so others may learn and love the cars
that are such a passion for all of us!
We recently joined forces with Rob Meyer and RM
Auctions for a “Night at the Museum” gala fundraising event. Over
$150,000 was raised to benefit the Museum. A huge thank you to the
folks at RM, the attendees, and all of the bidders for all their
efforts and help that made this event a success!
Sincerely,
Pat Foltz

The Very Best in Car
Stuff
for Your Favorite Car Buff!
The holidays are coming and the AACA Museum has
lots of great gift ideas so you can get what you REALLY want this
year!
The
Ultimate Gift...
for the Ultimate Chevy Guy
2007 marks the 50th anniversary year of the
1957 Chevy. What could be more perfect than an all-steel,
one-of-a-kind '57 Bel Air Chevy Bar and Sofa combination?
Built
from parts of the real thing, the Matador Red sofa and matching bar
are the creation of Max Davis, a Florida-based sheet-metal artist,
who specializes in restoring pick up trucks. While his main business
is turning rusted wrecks into drivable, showable vehicles, Max’s
sideline is creating furniture from the bits and pieces of classic
cars that would otherwise end up in the junkyard. His tribute to the
1957 Chevy is the latest in a series of “classic couches.”
Max’s
couch features operating tail-lights and original-style upholstery.
The bar includes a refrigerator, a radio with tape deck, and a
complete, authentic Bel Air front end. It’s furniture that a car
buff could buy for the parts alone! However the impact of these
pieces is more than the sum of its parts. It’s a tribute to an
automotive landmark that you can park in your living or game room.
The couch and bar are expensive, but then, these days everything
having to do with these iconic cars costs serious money.
We only have one and when it’s
gone...it’s gone! Contact our Gift Shop at 717-566-7100
ext. 103 for all the details. [By the way, Hulk Hogan has one of
these beauties in his gameroom!]
