Minutes of the General Membership Meeting

 

February 13, 2007

 

Introduction:   The Historic Virginia Peninsula Region (HVPR) of the Antique Automobile Club of American (AACA) met at 7:00 pm at the Wok-N-Roll. There were 36 club members present.

 

Call to Order:  President Tim Buris called the meeting to order at approximately 7:00pm.  The blessing was offered by Chaplain Anastasia Cassidy.

 

Welcome:  President Buris welcomed all who attended the meeting.  Those celebrating birthdays this month are Cheryl Drnec and Terry Ward. Cynthia & Robert Edahl had a wedding anniversary. Bob & Maize Williams have a new great grand daughter. Gordon Garnett has a new car addition, a 202 Chevy.

 

Old Business: their was not old business

 

New Business:   VPCCC is hosting a Brunch Fundraiser for the Adopt-a-cop

 March 10. Tickets must be purchased in advance;

 you can see Beth Hartel for tickets.

 

The club voted to host the ODMA meets in 2008; The HVPR Board had voted Clay Drnec would be the ODMA meet chairmen. Clay Drnec is already in the planning stages of the meet.

 

HB 1927 has had a number of changes and is now HB 2465. It is about the same and has passed in the House and is now before the Senate. 

 

Mabel Hodnett is in the Riverside Rehabilitation Institute after having hip surgery after a fall at home.

 

President Buris announced we will need new board members for the next run in office in 2008.

 

Valentines program: Presidents Buris thanked Judy Bray and Beth Hartel for the planning of our program tonight. Our Valentine King & Queen this year are Jim & Sally Bostic.

We played bingo while President Buris read tidbits of information to the club. Clay Drnec was the winner of the bingo game.

 

Bob Williams will soon have hip surgery, please keep Bob and family in your prays. Next meeting will be at Angelo’s Restaurant on J Clyde Morris Blvd. Social at 6:30pm dinner at 7:00 pm.  All the ladies got to take home a rose with a vase.

 

Raffle Drawing:  winner of the 50/50 drawing was A.J. Drnec of $21.00
