Minutes of the General Membership MeetingHistoric Virginia Peninsula Region Antique Automobile Club of AmericaJuly 19, 2009 Introduction: The HVPR of the AACA met on July 19,2009 at Olivia's Restaurant in Gloucester, VA. The meeting was called to order by President Beth Hartel at 1:40 PM. Welcome: President Hartel welcomed all who attended the meeting. There was 28 members and 1 guest, Betty Lou Blanchard. Happy Birthdays to Anastasia Cassidy and Hal Hartel. Happy Anniversary to Dale and Judy Bray, and Bill and Ollie James. New cars, BiII & Ollie James reported their new baby, a 1930 Ford Model AA Truck. New business: Hal Hartel gave a report on how to report violations of The Antique vehicle registration laws. In order to retain our rights, we need to help enforce this law. Contact Hal Hartel for more information. The club received an award plaque for having the most pre-registered cars at the Gloucester Relay for life car show. The next Roundup Board meeting will be held Tuesday July 21,2009 at 7PM at Hartel's 100 Kayla Court, York-town VA. The next General meeting will be held Aug. 11, 2009 at Kelsey's Grill on Rt.17 George Washington Hwy. 6:30 social and 7:00 dinner. A slide show of the AACA Museum in Hershey PA will be presented. The highlight of the meeting was when President Hartel presented Peggy and Boyd Sheppard an honorary life time membership award. Old business: The club Treasurer reported all accounts are balanced. There was no 5O/5O drawing. The meeting was adjourned by President Hartel at 3:20 PM The club then convoyed to Mathews, VA to visit Bobby Diggs Great private museum of antique automotive and Ford Model A collection.
