Fall "Put the covers
up" Wrapup
by Andy Daubenspeck
About 30 Granite Region AACA members braved the 70 degree sunshine to collect
at Jack and Susan Griffiths beautiful place in Bedford NH to celebrate one
of the finest November Firsts in memory. The food was outstanding— great
chili and clam chowder by Susan— and what a dessert table!
Jack passed around a signup sheet for the planning meeting in early December
for the upcoming Mt. Washington
Centennial event that we are helping to plan and run. Contact Jack if
you are interested in being part of this great event.
Jack took a lot of photos— and even presented every attender with a
nice-sized print of their car! The pictures below were formatted by Warren
Clark— Thanks, Warren!
Bob Merrill showed
a small fraction of his collection of books and magazines, which he is offering
up for sale. (See Classifieds.) Bob claimed
to be just cleaning up— but it looked more major than a simple cleanup!
The day was a gift, probably in repayment for the fiasco last Spring when
the April event was snowed under and out! Thanks so much,
Jack and Susan, for your organization and wonderful hospitality.
This was a special day— weather, new friends and old well met, and a
great chance to be on the road one more time before Old Man Winter changes
things. Driving back to Hanover, listening to the end of the Dartmouth-Harvard
game was icing on the cake.
Spring is coming… I can feel it in my bones! See you in February in
Philadelphia?
