Dan’l Boone Region AACA – Annual Show
September 20, 2009
Our Annual Show is held on the grounds of the beautiful Allandale Mansion in Kingsport, Tennessee. This is one of the few days during the year that the mansion is open to the public. Members of the Dan’l Boone Region share their collections and display their artistic talents on the first floor of the mansion. The only spectator cost is a $2.00 donation to enter the grounds. The fee to enter a vehicle in the show is $10.00 preregistered or $12.00 the day of the show.
Since 1978, the “Allandale Show” has been a yearly premier event in the Kingsport area. All vehicles are welcomed. In addition to the car show and mansion displays, participants enjoy door prizes, car awards, dash plaques to the first 225 vehicles, children’s prizes, music, entertainment, good food, and lots of camaraderie. An event t-shirt, featuring artwork by renowned local artist Jim Caswell, has been a collector’s item each year for many years.
Our 2009 show will feature the Hudson automobile in honor of their 100th anniversary. There will be an exhibits inside the Allandale mansion, including one dedicated to Hudsons. There will also be a special Hudson display on the mansion lawn.
