strain your gasoline carefully in cold weather |
|
The fact that water freezes at a higher temperature than does gasoline has caused much annoyance to many motorists who do not realize it sufficiently to satisfy themselves that their gasoline should be entirely free from water. This is even more important in winter than summer, for a small amount of water entering the gasoline tank will eventually work its way down through the inner pipe to the carburetor strainer, by which there is a good chance of its being in the shape of particle of ice sufficient to stop the flow of gasoline. |
